Moving is so much fun I've decided to do it again. One of my neighbors smokes non-stop, and the stench has been permeating my apt since before I moved in. I maintain as healthy of a lifestyle as I can. I eat as much natural and organic food as possible, and believe that a day without exercise is a day wasted. Lung cancer is not one of my life goals. I've lived places before where you would get a minute or two of smoke when a neighbor was out on their deck or whatever, but nothing like this. You can smell it as soon as you open the door. My clothes all stink, and I can't imagine what my furniture is going to smell like by the time I move. Fortunately, my property manager has been really nice about the whole thing. Late next month I get to move to a different apt! It is going to be a bit of a pain to pack up again and to move such a short distance, but I know it will be worth it.
My favorite website of the week is the personalized license plate page on Virginia's web site. As of August 31 I will be a resident of the Commonwealth. I've never had a vanity plate before, and I am considering trying it out. It is a little overwhelming, though. There are so many designs to choose from, not to mention picking the perfect five or six letter combination to grace the tail of my vehicle. Currently I am leaning toward the Bicycling Enthusiasts plate.
As a fisherwoman I like the one with the brook trout on it, but I don't consider myself a Wildlife Conservationist and it isn't that pretty (it therefore is disqualified and does not appear in this post). The colors on the biking one match so well with my car, too. Though the Chesapeake one is quite cute and matches just as well.
And then, of course, there is the Jamestown plate. So many pretty plates, so little room to put them all. They also cost an extra $10/year. It is another $10/year to personalize them. I am going to have one of the world's lowest salaries, so I really shouldn't waste my money on a license plate. I'm having fun though.
I also keep trying different letter combinations. I'm choosing between something having to do with my undergrad, my hometown, my favorite place to vacation, and my personal web page. Currently leaning towards the later.
Maybe I'll compromise. I'll just get the standard issue plate, and have it personalized, or I will get a fun plate and get whatever random number they assign me. I'll have to think about this.
Hmm...can you tell what level of boredom I've reached since the most interesting thing I can find to post about it license plates??!?
